Val di Sole - italy world cup #7

For the last time of the season the whole team was in Italy for the final world cup. Nico, Fabian, Aurélien and Pich tried to survive under hotness, between dust and million of rocks and roots. Track was beautiful and the amazing crowd pretty crazy.
Unfortunately the race was over on friday for three of the four racers : Fabian had a crash just before qualifying and hurted his elbow while Nico and Aurélien missed a bit of speed to enter top 80. Pich tried to ride safe in steep rocky sections and
save more speed and strenght in the arms for the rest to race the very last final of the year.
Track was completely scary and destroyed on sunday for the most passionated final ever see, with lot of crashes, maximum risks and rookies ready to die for the win. Pich had to defend a good place in overall and did a rough run with a big
sketchy final to finish 24th. Once again valuable points in the pocket and a pretty cool 23rd place overall after seven world cups.

La Bresse - France World Cup 6

The whole team was in Les Vosges for the sixth world cup of the season. Fabian, Aurélien, Nico and Pich had fun riding under the sun for trainings and qualifying run on a short, fast track with good flow.
Nico and Pich had safe qualifying runs, no place for any mistake on a 2:10 track ! Fabian and Aurélien gave their best on this big race (249 riders !) but unfortunately didn’t have enough speed to go through top 80 … then it was raining on sunday, track was really slippery and dangerous. During the
morning rain came off and finals started on a rare mix of grass and mud. Nico took 35th and Pich 22nd with an effective run and some valuable points to be 24th in overall just before final in Italy.
Thank you so much to these thousands of people coming to support the team and other riders with so much energy. The ground was just trembeling !
Next : french cup in Oz and world cup final in Val diSole, Italy.

Newsletter: GERMAN IXS / GERMAN NATIONAL CHAMPS Bad Wildbad, Germany

Fabian and Pich were in Bad Wildbad for the most important downhill of the year in Germany. Fabian is just living 20 minutes from the Wildbad and felt like home, while Pich came for the first time to ride on this rocky / rooty fun track with new sections in the woods for this year. Qualifying run was under sunshine on saturday afternoon, the track was dry for the first time of the week-end. Fabian did 5th
and Pich 2nd, both with a pretty good run.
Sunday was not so sunny but the conditions in the afternoon were not so bad, the track was just a little bit more slippery. Fabian finished 6th at the german champs and 8th for the IXS cup for his first year elite, Pich took 2nd. And both had again a very good run during finals.

Leogang, Salzburgerland
World Cup 3

Just one day off after Fort William and here we are driving again to Leogang. Nico and Pich had lot of fun and good feelings on the track during their first run of training. It was raining all nights during three days so the track was pretty muddy, soft with big holes in the top but always fast at the bottom on a tougher and steeper ground.
Qualification was not too bad, Nico did 40th and Pich 45th. They felt a way more confident than Fort William for the final. Nico had a technical problem at the top section but did a clean run and finished 30th, Pich did just one big mistake at the
top again but rode faster at the bottom and took 21st place, a little bit angry to miss top 20 for 0,1 sec.
After three world cups, Nico is now 45th (missing PMB) and Pich 27th of the overall. RIders are now happy to say pedaling wc tracks are over for the rest of the season !

World Cup#1
PIETERMARITZBURG, SOUTH AFRICA

Everybody knew this track was really physically hard, bikes set up were changed to keep speed and strenght during the two flat sections. Pierre Charles Georges (Pich) did a clean run in qualification trying to stay in the good lines. 38th position and a little bit more power to give for the finals.
Pich finished 32th on sunday and won some good points for the beginning of the season. "I couldn't go faster in the final, my bike was absolutely fitted to me and I had nothing to loose. I did no mistake and I had fun during the run. Now I'm happy the other world cups doesn't look like this one ! just a little disapointed to be out of top 30…"

European IXS Cup Todtnau Germany

Last minute, the team changed his plan, cancelling the french cup #1 in Brassac to race in Todtnau. The entire week-end was sunny and the track was really tough and dusty. Nico Vink, Fabian Fader and Pierre Charles Georges had a lot of pleasure riding the practise during the three days. It was the best training Nico and Pich could do before going to Fort William world cup. The first run on saturday was fast and clean, Nico took 14th and Pich 13th, Fabian had a flat. On sunday the track became harder, with bigger holes and a lot of slippery corners in the dust. Unfortunately Fabian had a flat again, Nico had a crash but took a crazy 9th place and Pich sat in the hot seat, finished 6th at the end with a safe/clean run. The team was pretty happy with these results, the level was high and the atmosphere of the week end was really good.

Normaly Nico don´t compete in 4X Events, but it was so to speak in front of his front door and he decided to go and have some fun.

He ride on the 22 position. Super Nico !

SOLID BIKES REUNION ISLAND

An incredible track for the championship and a great excitement this year for the solidbikes team on Reunion Island. The track was more longer than the others but what a track. Rocky, dusty and full of steps and road gap.
Seems that the mission 9 has been made for our beautiful island. And the results are amazing:

Florent Corré finished 1rst Junior and 1rst overall.

Romain Payet finished 2nd and 2nd overall.

Arnaud Li finished second master and 2nd overall.
